Activities

LWV members keep busy with a variety of activities: we help register voters, we work with a Coalition of other organizations to sponsor Legislative Forums, we hold Candidate Forums, and we work with other organizations on common issues like water quality.

These Forums begin in late January and go through late March, generally ending with a wrap up Forum in April. They provide local citizens with an opportunity to hear from the legislators regarding bills being considered or passed in the Iowa House and Senate. They also serve as a place to ask questions and interact with the legislators before and after the session.
